LESA MARINO
I grew up in West Haven, Connecticut and spent my summers walking to the beach with my neighborhood friends. My parents always supported my childhood interests in art, piano and singing in the choir. After high school, I channeled my creative energy academically and studied Illustration at Paier College of Art in New Haven, CT.
After graduation, my husband Pete and I bought a pop-up camper, took five weeks to drive cross-country and settled in San Diego, California. Five years later, we returned to Connecticut, built a home and raised our two daughters, Jessica and Jaclyn. I then began my career in the greeting card industry creating art for products sold in Target, Walmart, the wholesale clubs and many other retailers. My art has been used in designs for dinnerware, textiles, paper goods and gifts
A while back, I returned to college to learn the digital arts. I am now having so much fun combining tradition and digital art. The possibilities for creativity are endless. I never seem to have enough time to try everything I would like.
